AGM 2022

Street view of Bilton Towers

Overview

Following two years during which Covid-19 related restrictions prevented us from holding an Annual General Meeting in 2020 and 2021, the 57th AGM of Bilton Towers Residents Company Ltd  was held on 12th May 2022  at the Hyatt Regency Churchill Hotel on Portman Square.  The 2021 accounts closed with a small surplus of £ 5,067.  The level of the quarterly service charge has remained unchanged since 2013. In spite of the fact that inflaction has remained at low levels over the past ten years, the slowly rising costs and marked increased in our energy bills have eroded the service sharge account’s annual surplus.  As a result, the need to increase the level of the service charge was discussed in detail during this AGM. The key item presented and debated during the “Any other business” item of the meeting’s agenda, was the project to refurbish the building’s cooling system and replace the convector units located in the flats to greatly improve the energy efficiency of the system and therefore lower the running costs.
