Overview
The 2012 AGM was held on 31st May at the Cavendish Club, Great Cumberland Place. The 2011 accounts closed with a surplus of £ 25,666.
The analysis of the 2012 accounts highlighted the need to re-negotiate the building’s annual insurance premium which had risen sharply over the previous five years. Other significant costs included the maintenance of the lifts, confirming the need to have them replaced. The Chairman’s presentation proposed a sequence of priorities of refurbishment works for the following years, the more urgent items being the refurbishment of the lower block’s roof (to prevent repeated water ingress), the replacement of the 6 lifts (over three years), and the replacement of the TV communal areal system.
