What to do in case of an emergency
The Security Manager and the Front Desk team are trained to follow specific protocols in case of emergencies. The cooperation of residents is requested to ensure that these procedures can run smoothly in the interest of everyone’s safety.

In case of fire
FIRE IN YOUR APARTMENT:
If fire breaks out in your apartment, you should first call the front desk and inform the porter.
ELSEWHERE IN THE BUILDING:
If you discover a fire elsewhere in the building you should activate the nearest break glass alarm or call point.
The porter will find the location of the fire on the alarm panel in the reception area and go to that location to determine whether assistance is required.
The porter will call fire brigade if there is a fire situation.
Porters may attempt to tackle the fire if trained to do so and only if there is no danger to themselves or other people.
The Porter, Fire Brigade or Police Officer can decide whether the building needs to be evacuated.
IF YOU HEAR THE FIRE ALARM: Do not run out of the building
The alarm is activated the fire detection system or one of the break glass points
The Porter will find location reading the alarm panel in the reception area and switch off the alarm sirens.
The Porter at the scene assists where appropriate to help the occupants of the flat to evacuate
The Porter at reception will call all residents on the floor of the fire and those two floors above and below and inform them of the incident.
When there is no more danger, the stand down will be given to all residents via the telephone system.
Residents will be instructed to remain within their apartments unless they are affected smoke or fire or unless instructed to do so a Porter, Firefighter or Police Officer
If evacuation is required, the fire alarm siren will be activated again
Residents should use the stairs (not the lifts) and assemble in the reception lob area initially
If this is not possible, they should assemble across the main street opposite Bilton Towers in the Crescent
